Bangkok recharge ...

On to Bangkok to recharge our batteries and take care of a few business issues that even itinerant travellers have, but not without a visit to a floating market, the royal palace complex and the golden buddha. The golden buddha weighs 5.5 tons - chopping off one of its fingers would give us more than enough to see us through!!! Bangkok has a metro system that puts many others in the world to shame - highly efficient and incredibly clean. Riding the metro and sky train didn't stop the stair climbing - every time we needed to cross the Sukhumvit road we had to do a 3 storey stair climb and believe me we did that on many occasions!

Bangkok floating market ... breakfast but not for us!!
